What Parents Are Saying...

"interactive"

We are so thankful for Laura and her school, the RIDH! She takes amazing care of our child. Laura has a special way of bonding with each child individually and helping them play together and learn about their world through interactive activities. The small group means lots of one on one time and interaction. Laura does interactive learning with new topics and activities each week. Lots of outdoor time and craft time. Every day she sends a photo journal which is super cute! Laura's model is to have the group of kids around somewhat the same age/stage and stay together until kindergarten, which is nice because there is a lot of stability and the kids become very close. Laura is very responsible, reliable, and positive with the kids. She also communicates well with parents and is a great source of ideas and knowledge as your child develops at each different stage. We trust her 100 percent.

"nurturing"

RIDH and Laura are amazing! From the time we first met Laura and visited the school, we knew RIDH was the right fit for us and our son. We've watched our little one grow and develop so many new skills and interests, all nurtured and supported by Laura and her engaging and interactive program. The children participate daily in fun and interactive activities that foster curiosity, imagination, and creativity along with developmental skills. We love getting photos and descriptions of their daily adventures and are so grateful knowing our little one is learning and exploring so much when he goes off to school each day. Laura cultivates a close, nurturing, and safe environment among the children and parents that feels like family. We are so thankful for RIDH and highly recommend it to all families!

"trust"

It's difficult to put into words just how much we love RIDH and Laura! Our two sons (ages 4 and 2) both attend RIDH. Both have learned so much, from learning sign language and gross motor skills in the early stages to communicating about the world around us and even potty training! My oldest is very high-energy and I love how Laura channels that energy by having lots of outdoor play time and helps him focus inside with story time, art, and working on fine motor skills. More than anything, I fully trust Laura's judgment and know that my kids are in the best hands. Laura sends photos every day and I can see how happy all the kids are and the interesting things they're learning.

"community"

I've been meaning to write a review for RIDH ever since my son graduated, and can also now share how impactful his experience was on his current kindergarten experience. My son started at RIDH when he was 6 months old and truly thrived in Ms. Laura's care and the vibrant learning community she created using the Reggio model. My son also had speech and social emotional skill needs that Ms. Laura supported us with compassion and expertise. It is because of our experience at RIDH that my son now has the social-emotional and cognitive skills he needs to be successful in kindergarten. I love that in his formative early childhood years, he learned to be self-directed and collaborative with peers. I would recommend the RIDH and Ms. Laura to any parent who is looking for that special blend of inquiry-based learning and social skills building in a small group environment.

"communication"

Our experience at RIDH has been amazing. Knowing that both of our children are growing, learning, and having fun in a safe, healthy and loving environment is the best thing a parent can hope for in their childcare experience. We appreciate all of the communication and updates we get from Laura in-person and through the Brightwheel app. Both of our children absolutely love being there and so do we! I know parents who spend so much time looking for quality child care that is safe, developmentally appropriate, and fun for their little ones, and we are extremely blessed to have all of that for our kids at RIDH.

"10 stars"

If there was 10 stars, we would give it to Laura and Reggio-inspired Day Home. Laura and RIDH has been such a wonderful experience for our daughter. She has learned so much and truly loves going to RIDH everyday. Laura has become like family to us, and we HIGHLY recommend her program for any family.

"outdoor play"

I would highly recommend RIDH to anyone and everyone who was interested. Our oldest son graduated from RIDH last year and has grown into a confident, strong, bright, and kind little boy. We’ve also sent our two other children to RIDH and couldn’t be happier with their learning and growth. Laura is attentive to all of the children under her supervision, and you can see how much she deeply cares for them. She has unbelievable patience and focus that makes each of the children feel special. Her teaching program is structured but not rigid and she lets the children explore their interests. Our favorite part (if we had to pick one) of her curriculum is the focus on outdoor play. The kids spend a great deal of time exploring and playing games in her backyard during every day and during all four seasons, and they love it.  Our kids genuinely enjoy going to school with Ms. Laura, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the impact that Laura has had on our family.

"connection"

Laura and the RIDH program is an amazing place of play and growth for both my kids, who started going there as infants and continued through pre-K.  They both thrived there and were well prepared for a transition to kindergarten.  The Reggio-inspired model really focuses on each individual child's needs, play and exploration that fostered my kids' creativity, social skills, and knowledge at all stages.  Laura's personal connection to each child and parent is really demonstrated through her daily interaction with families, and twice yearly parent teacher conferences, where she presents a detailed portfolio of the child's accomplishments, progress, and goals.  Her attention to detail in teaching and nurturing each child is amazing.  I highly recommend RIDH as a place where kids can play, learn, and grow, and consider Laura a key partner in my children's development!

"dedicated"

I wholeheartedly recommend RIDH to any family seeking a nurturing, family-oriented environment for their child. Ms. Laura and her team are incredibly warm and genuinely dedicated to my daughter's growth. We enrolled our daughter when she was under 2 years old and are so happy that she will be able to stay until kindergarten. Even in her early months at RIDH, we saw her thrive – her vocabulary, curiosity, and personality blossomed week by week. As parents, we feel confident knowing she is loved and truly seen by everyone at RIDH. Ms. Laura consistently provides creative and engaging activities that support both fun and meaningful learning. We also appreciate how much time the children spend outdoors, connecting with nature. I am deeply grateful to have found a place where my daughter is not only learning but truly cherished.
